Chad Billingsley's start on Sunday will be skipped.

Greg Maddux will start for the Dodgers on Saturday
and Hiroki Kuroda will pitch on Sunday.

Wandy Rodriguez will pitch on Sunday vs Atlanta.

Daisuke Matsuzaka was scratched last night due to
bad weather. Check the Red Sox box to see if he's the
starter today.

Francisco Cordero had bone spurs removed from
his ankle and is done for the season.

Chipper Jones is going to try to play today. Check
the Braves box before you activate him.

Derek Jeter might be done for the season. Grab a spot
play SS today.

Geovany Soto left with a sore hand and will likely sit
until the playoffs.

David Ortiz took a seat on the bench rather than risk
injury on a slick field.

Rafael Furcal started for the Dodgers last night. He
went 0/2 and left early for a pinch runner.

Mike Lowell returned to the Red Sox lineup as the
DH.

Edgar Renteria is finished for the season. He has a
strained pectoral muscle.

as he deals with forearm and elbow issues.

Yovani Gallardo is a surprise starter for the Brewers
today.

Cliff Lee, Edinson Volquez and Zach Greinke will
be shut down for the year. Adjust your rotations.

Andy Pettitte has been shut down for this season.

John Maine was activated and is likely to work out
of the bullpen.

Jeremy Guthrie will make his final start of the season
on Sunday.

J.D. Drew returned to action for the Red Sox going 1/2
but left for a pinch runner in the 3rd inning.

Rafael Furcal may get a start over the weekend for
the Dodgers. He's a decent spot play for 1 game.

Chipper Jones pinch hit a 3 run homer last night. He
is day to day.

Mark DeRosa left last night's game with a calf injury.

Jay Bruce left after being struck on the wrist

Strategy: PE spot closer Ayala was used for spot
play Ellsbury for tomorrow as insurance for Chone
Figgins who is having his sore elbow examined. PE
feels that SB is a pivotal category. OP used Francis
for SP stream Litsch for today. PE sends Harden
and 5 closers vs. OP SP's Shields/Litsch & 4 closers.
PE Figgins is out today so only 8 possible hitters are
active for today vs. 7 for OP.

Game Keys: PE SP's Harang/Weaver/Purcey &
1 closer combined to throw 21 innings allowing 7
runs on 27 whip with 19 k's while earning 1 W
and 1 Save. OP SP Bilingsley had a rough outing
allowing 6 runs on 10 whip with 5 k's in 4.2 frames.
PE offense finally got hot going 12/29 with 9 runs,
1 homer and 3 rbi. OP hitters easily kept pace going
12/32 with 5 runs, 5 rbi and 1 stolen base. PE has
closed the gap in the critical Runs category to 4 and
continues to target SB. OP is certain to take HR/
RBI. PE trails 5-4.


Final Thoughts:

PE has won the league and enters the league championship.

The Player's Edge participates in many leagues but elected to
follow a team in a Public League to better approximate what might
be faced by a wide majority of players that use the Edge daily.
This team plays in a standard 5x5 scoring format and drafted 7th
of 12 teams in a 21 round on-line live event in late March. We will
follow this team throughout the entire 2008 fantasy campaign.
