Site updated by 11am EST daily.

Roster Shuffle:

There is speculation that
Josh Beckett might be
nursing an unspecified injury after yesterday's
dreadful outing. Stay tuned.

Philip Hughes
or Carl Pavano will be called up this
week for a start against the Orioles over the weekend.

Todd Jones has been placed on the DL with a sore
right shoulder after an horrendous outing on Saturday.

Aramis Ramirez returned to action going 2/4 with
a run and 2 rbi.

Milton Bradley missed a 2nd consecutive game with
a stiff back. There's been no update on his availablity
for tonight so check the boxscore before using him.

Conor Jackson was given a mental day off yesterday.
I'm certain it sounds worse than it actually is.

David Wright just got a plain old day off. Manuel has
got to get some terminology from Melvin.

Ryan Church
is rehabbing in New Orleans and should
find his way back to the bigs this week

Alexi Casilla begins a rehab assignment on Monday at
Single A Beloit.

J.D Drew was forced out of yesterday's game with a sore
back.

Ricky Weeks left yesterday's game with a sprained right
thumb.

Hideki Matsui will be activated on Tuesday and is likely
to DH. The question is how many AB's will he actually get?

SP's Maine, Lester, Guthrie, Duchscherer, Buehrle,
Shields, Garland, Sheets, Burnett, Harden, Haren
Sabathia, E. Santana and Galarraga
are the likely
candidates for 2 starts this week. (SP's normally start on
every 5th day so starters on Monday/Tuesday are likely
to pitch on Saturday/Sunday respectively.)

SP stream possibilities for 2 starts this week; Blackburn,
Kevin Slowey, Paul Maholm, Jorge Campillo, Kuroda
and Nolasco
. Probables are
chosen based on having a
favorable start on Monday or Tuesday.

955. That's the number of innings used that would keep
you on track to deploy maximum innings (1250) over the
course of the season in Rotisserie. A number significantly
above or below should be a call to action.

Streamers: (tomorrow's probable starters available as free agents)

Use these players to gain advantage in wins and strikeouts.

Kevin Slowey- has pitched consistently well at the
Metrodome. 0-0, 1.50/1.17 in 6 frames against the
A's and 5-4, 3.47/.95 with 40 k's in 57 innings at
home this year.

Ricky Nolasco- has no history vs. the Giants. 6-3,
3.92/1.27 with 58 k's in 80 innings on the road this
season.

Spotties: (tomorrow's position players available as free agents)

Use these players to fill in for injured players and on off days.

Alex Cora- sits on Cabrera's heat. 12/28 with 3 mults
and a jack.

Skip Schumaker- comfortable vs. Snell. 7/17 with 3 rbi.

Start/Sit: (today)

Guide to using bench players when matchups are favorable.

Aubrey Huff (start)- likes Lester. 6/14 with 3 extras.

^ -designates an active player on today's roster.

Daily Activity:

PE Marcum(drop)/Blackburn-Sun

Strategy: PE dropped SP Marcum for stream SP Blackburn.
The concept for Week 21 is to "pitch" aggressively looking to
control W/Saves/K while attempting to stay competitive in
ERA/WHIP. Towards that end PE Blackburn was used for
stream Slowey for Tuesday. OP has 7 starts on the current
roster and a daunting offense. PE could conceivably lose all 5
offensive categories this week but is playing for Runs/SB. A
5-5 contest would wrap up a first round bye.

Game Keys: PE offense with 10 runs, 2 homers and 5 rbi
was able to take 4 offensive points losing only SB. PE stream
Marcum earned a W to put the fishing touches on a 7-3 PE
victory.

Final Thoughts:

PE increased the 1st place lead to 12.5 points over the 2nd place
club and 16 ahead of the 3rd place team heading into Week 21.
With only 20 points (2 weeks) left in the season PE will adopt a
streaming strategy while assuring roster integrity heading into
the bye week of the playoffs. If PE goes 4-16 during these final
2 weeks the 3rd place team would need to go 20-0 to tie for 2nd
place.

The Player's Edge participates in many leagues but elected to
follow a team in a Public League to better approximate what might
be faced by a wide majority of players that use the Edge daily.
This team plays in a standard 5x5 scoring format and drafted 7th
of 12 teams in a 21 round on-line live event in late March. We will
follow this team throughout the entire 2008 fantasy campaign.
