Roster Shuffle:

Ian Kinsler will try to take BP this week to see if
he can move forward with his rehab. There's still
a real chance that he'll be shutdown for the season.

Josh Hamilton sat out with an abscessed tooth.

Chone Figgins missed last night's action with an
irritated toe. He's day to day.

Carlos Quentin was given the night off and will be
back in the lineup today.

Victor Martinez is expected to rejoin the Tribe this
weekend.

Howie Kendrick strained a hamstring running the
bases and was removed from the game. The severity
of the injury should be made available today.

An MRI revealed that Dioner Navarro only has a
hamstring strain. He's day to day.

Justin Upton will be recalled by the D-Backs on
Friday or Saturday. It's not clear if he'll be a full
timer when he returns.

Billy Wagner threw from 60 feet. He's listed as
week to week as there is no timetable for him to
resume pitching off of a mound.

Joba Chamberlain could return next week. He's
likely to be a starter as long as the Yankees are in
the race.

Chris Carpenter still describes weakness around
his shoulder. He threw a bullpen session yesterday
and the Cards could elect to shut him down. Wait
for an official announcement before giving up on
him.

George Sherrill should be activated and resume
his role as the Orioles closer when the rosters are
expanded on September 1st.

Jose Campillo- has been outstanding on the road all
season. 0-0, 2.54/1.36 in 4 innings vs. the Nationals and
4-2, 2.40/.95 with 44 k's in 60 frames away from Atlanta.

Jeremy Sowers- has a solid track record vs the Mariners.
2/0, 1.80/1.05 in 20 innings.

Strategy: PE will play the roster for the remainder of the
week. PE has 6 starts left for the week vs. 3 for OP. Brian
Fuentes is on bereavement leaving PE 4 closers against 2
for OP. Neither team has an SP going today. OP will send
7 on offense today compared to 5 for PE.

Game Keys: OP SP Wainwright and 1 closer combined to
pitch 7.1 innings allowing 2 runs, 9 whip and 2 k's gaining
a save. PE closers had 1 save as well. PE offense showed
signs of life going 10/34 with 2 runs, a homer and 8 rbi.
OP offense countered with a 10/33 and 1 run, 1 homer,
6 rbi plus a steal. The match is deadlocked at 5-5.


Final Thoughts:

PE increased the 1st place lead to 16 points over the 2nd place
club and 19 ahead of the 3rd place team heading into Week 22.
PE has won the league and earned a 1st round bye in the playoffs.

The Player's Edge participates in many leagues but elected to
follow a team in a Public League to better approximate what might
be faced by a wide majority of players that use the Edge daily.
This team plays in a standard 5x5 scoring format and drafted 7th
of 12 teams in a 21 round on-line live event in late March. We will
follow this team throughout the entire 2008 fantasy campaign.
