Roster Shuffle:

Rich Harden
was skipped due to arm discomfort.
It's not believed to be serious but with his history
it is a cause of concern for owners.

Jered Weaver was pushed back until Monday. He
cut 2 fingers in the dugout on an upholstery staple
on the bench while getting up. No, honestly!!

Carlos Zambrano received a cortisone shot for
right shoulder tendinitis. The Cubs are hoping that
the Big Z can begin a throwing program early next
week.

Justin Duchscherer will miss his next start on
Saturday with a sore hip.

Ben Sheets is still penciled in to make a start on
Saturday.

Billy Wagner threw a bullpen session and should
be activated on Tuesday.

Chipper Jones returned to active duty last night.

Carlos Quentin and Ken Griffey should be back
in action today.

B. J. Upton has been playing with a slightly torn
labrum which might explain his lack of power this
season.

Gary Sheffield sat out yesterday with a shoulder
ailment.

Yunel Escobar should return by the weekend.

Ian Kinsler will have surgery for a sports hernia
and is done for the season.

Bobby Abreu was a late scratch due to a sore left
wrist.

Jerry Hairston Jr. may resume baseball activities
next week. He's been a pleasant surprise when he's
played this season. He could be a nice plug in for the
playoffs as he has multiple position eligibility.

Melvin Mora still has a sore hamstring and will not
return until some point next week.

David Murphy had a setback when his knee swelled
after a workout. He may not return this season.

Final Thoughts
:

PE has won the league and earned a 1st round bye in the playoffs.

The Player's Edge participates in many leagues but elected to
follow a team in a Public League to better approximate what might
be faced by a wide majority of players that use the Edge daily.
This team plays in a standard 5x5 scoring format and drafted 7th
of 12 teams in a 21 round on-line live event in late March. We will
follow this team throughout the entire 2008 fantasy campaign.
