Roster Shuffle:

Carlos Zambrano
was scratched from his start
yesterday with a tired arm. He's likely to return
in a few days.

Joba Chamberlain will be activated today and
work out of the bullpen. His value is limited.

Wandy Rodriguez had to leave his start with
a back injury.

J.J. Putz complained of arm soreness and was
unavailable to pitch yesterday. He had pitched
on consecutive days.

Troy Percival will resume closing for the Rays
on Tuesday when he's activated from the DL.

Vlad Guerrero and Torii Hunter were given
a routine day off yesterday. They are both due
to return on Tuesday.

Dallas McPherson may be called up today by
the Marlins. He has 42 homers in the minors and
could be a source of power for the stretch run.

Chipper Jones is battling right elbow tendinitis.

Kevin Youkilis missed a 2nd straight game with
the flu. He's day to day.

Rick Ankiel sat out with a sore abdomen. He could
be out a few days so adjust accordingly.

Adam Jones will be activated today from the DL.

Dioner Navarro will be shut down for a few days
to rest his sore hamstrings.

David Murphy, a rookie of the year candidate, may
return to the Rangers over the weekend.

SP's J. Johnson, J. Santana, Sheets, Lester, C.
Young,
Oswalt, R. Johnson, Wainwright, Lee,
Lincecum,
Carmona, Saunders, R. Dempster,
Mussina, Greinke
and Cole Hamels are the likely
candidates for 2 starts this week. (SP's normally start
on every 5th day so starters on Monday/Tuesday are
likely to pitch on Saturday/Sunday respectively.)

SP stream possibilities for 2 starts this week; Garza,
Parra, Kendrick, Maddux, A. Sanchez, Perkins,
Redding and Y. Petit.
Probables are
chosen based
on having a favorable start on Monday or Tuesday.

keep you on track to deploy maximum innings (1250)

Daily Activity:

Strategy
: PE will have a bye week coming up while the
4th and 5th place teams battle for the right to face PE
in the semifinals.

Game Keys: PE SP Cain's dismal start cost PE the ERA
point. PE managed to eke out a 5-4 victory on the final
week of the 2008 regular season.

Final Thoughts
:

PE has won the league and earned a 1st round bye in the playoffs.

The Player's Edge participates in many leagues but elected to
follow a team in a Public League to better approximate what might
be faced by a wide majority of players that use the Edge daily.
This team plays in a standard 5x5 scoring format and drafted 7th
of 12 teams in a 21 round on-line live event in late March. We will
follow this team throughout the entire 2008 fantasy campaign.
