Roster Shuffle:

Ben Sheets is penciled in to start today's game vs
the Cubs.

Chad Billingsley's start on Sunday will be skipped.

Greg Maddux will start for the Dodgers on Saturday
and Hiroki Kuroda will pitch on Sunday.

Wandy Rodriguez will pitch on Sunday vs Atlanta.

Daisuke Matsuzaka was scratched last night due to
bad weather. Check the Red Sox box to see if he's the
starter today.

Francisco Cordero had bone spurs removed from
his ankle and is done for the season.

Chipper Jones is going to try to play today. Check
the Braves box before you activate him.

Derek Jeter might be done for the season. Grab a spot
play SS today.

Geovany Soto left with a sore hand and will likely sit
until the playoffs.

David Ortiz took a seat on the bench rather than risk
injury on a slick field.

Rafael Furcal started for the Dodgers last night. He
went 0/2 and left early for a pinch runner.

Mike Lowell returned to the Red Sox lineup as the
DH.

Edgar Renteria is finished for the season. He has a
strained pectoral muscle.

Placido Polanco left last night's game with a sore
ankle. He's not likely to play again this year.

park. 3-3, 3.61/1.19 in 67 innings and 2-2, 2.83/1.11 in 48
frames in Anaheim.

Strategy: PE SP's Harang/Young/Cain will be used
today with SP's Jimenez/Litsch/Millwood still on tap
for Sunday. PE selected SP's Wakefield/W. Rodriguez
and Marshall as defensive moves to keep them away
from OP. PE dropped Francisco Cordero for Broxton.
Cordero had surgery to remove bone spurs. Broxton
will sit to open a roster spot for Cain as Torre may
opt to give Saito the ball if a save situation arises after
big Brox blew a save last night. OP selected Perkins/
Parrish to start today.

Game Keys: PE SP's Liriano/Morrow and Volstad
combined to throw 15.1 innings allowing 12 runs on
31 whip with 17 k's earning 2 W's. OP SP's Lewis/
Arroyo and 3 closers pitched 15 frames yielding 11
runs on 26 whip with 11 k's with 2 W's and 1 Save.
PE offense continues to hit going 9/22 with 3 runs,
2 homers, 3 rbi and 1 stolen base. OP's hitters went
13/32 with 6 runs, 1 homer and 5 rbi. PE leads Runs
by 19, SB by 6 and BA by .34. OP leads RBI by 7 &
HR by 2. PE leads in 3 pitching points with W/Saves
tied. The match is still very much up for grabs with
Saves/W/K/WHIP in play and BA at risk every day.
PE will carry a 6-2 lead into the final 2 days of play.


Final Thoughts:

PE has won the league and enters the league championship.

The Player's Edge participates in many leagues but elected to
follow a team in a Public League to better approximate what might
be faced by a wide majority of players that use the Edge daily.
This team plays in a standard 5x5 scoring format and drafted 7th
of 12 teams in a 21 round on-line live event in late March. We will
follow this team throughout the entire 2008 fantasy campaign.
