Daily Activity:

PE Danks(dropped)/Jimenez-Sun
OP Beltre(dropped)/Acevas-Sun
PE Jimenez(dropped)/Cain-Mon
PE Cain(dropped)/Purcey-Tues
OP Acevas(dropped)/Shields-Tues
OP Morrow(dropped)/Francis-Tues
PE Purcey(dropped)/Duchscherer-Wed
PE Duchsherer(DL)/Ayala-Wed
PE Escobar(dropped)/Theriot-Wed
PE Ayala(dropped)/Ellsbury-Thur
OP Litsch(dropped)/Qualls-Thur

Strategy: OP dropped Litsch for closer Qualls
electing to match PE with 5 closers. PE awaits
information on Figgins before deciding what to
do with Ellsbury. The options are to add stream
SP Acevas for either Ellsbury, Figgins or Young.
Ellsbury and Figgins are top of the order types
while OF Young has been hitting 5th. PE needs
to continue to play for Runs/SB. PE could stand
pat and simply counter OP moves going forward.

Game Keys: PE SP Harden and 2 closers were
able to aggregate 8 innings allowing 1 runs on 11
whip with 11 k's while earning 1 W and 1 Save.
OP SP's Shields/Litsch and 1 closer combined to
yield 7 runs on 18 whip with 11 k's in 13.1 innings.
OP also registered a W and a Save on the evening.
PE offense continued to stumble along going 8/35
with 7 runs, 1 homer, 3 rbi and 1 stolen base. OP
hitters cooled just a bit going 8/29 with 3 runs and
5 rbi enabling PE to tie Runs/SB. The championship
remains very close with PE leading 4-3.

Final Thoughts
:

PE has won the league and enters the league championship.

The Player's Edge participates in many leagues but elected to
follow a team in a Public League to better approximate what might
be faced by a wide majority of players that use the Edge daily.
This team plays in a standard 5x5 scoring format and drafted 7th
of 12 teams in a 21 round on-line live event in late March. We will
follow this team throughout the entire 2008 fantasy campaign.
