Strategy: PE SP's Jimenez/Litsch/Millwood are
ready to face OP Sabathia/Shields/Outman/Dickey
in today's finale. PE is likely to play conservatively
and monitor the results of OP Sabathia/Shields in
the early games and will deploy Millwood/Jimenez
in the late games only if necessary.

PE has firm control of the championship and will
play defensively with the pitching points and use
all 9 on offense which is a bit of a gambit with BA.

Game Keys: PE SP's Harang/Young/Cain and 2
closers combined to throw 20 innings allowing 7
runs on 27 whip with 15 k's earning 1 W/1 Save.
OP SP's Perkins/Parrish and 3 closers pitched 13
frames yielding 4 runs on 18 whip with 10 k's with
2 Saves. PE offense was silenced going 4/18 with 3
runs, 1 rbi and 1 stolen base. OP's hitters could not
take advantage of PE's dry spell going 7/26 with 3
runs, 2 homer and 6 rbi. PE leads Runs by 19, SB
by 7 and BA by .31. OP leads RBI by 12 & HR by 4.
PE has large leads in K/ERA and could take WHIP
by not using any SP's today. W/Saves are in play.
PE takes a 7-3 lead into today's championship finale.


Final Thoughts:

PE has won the league and enters the league championship.

The Player's Edge participates in many leagues but elected to
follow a team in a Public League to better approximate what might
be faced by a wide majority of players that use the Edge daily.
This team plays in a standard 5x5 scoring format and drafted 7th
of 12 teams in a 21 round on-line live event in late March. We will
follow this team throughout the entire 2008 fantasy campaign.
